Overview
The international fire incidents database OECD FIRE is one of the four nuclear power plants (NPP) operational events databases currently operated by OECD NEA recording detailed information from fires at nuclear power plants from thirteen NEA member countries. The database with more than 460 events is mature enough for first applications in Fire PSA.

The session provides an overview on the database application possibilities, a recent application on event combinations of fires and other anticipated events, as well as PSA specific applications, such as identifying fire modeling issues based on analyses of real events and the use of generic event trees for probabilistic investigations and assessment.
